Why?

I love animals. Some say I love animals more than humans, they are probably right.  Dogs are my favorite. I have three and have had at least one since I was sixteen. But it doesn’t matter what kind of animal, I love them all (except spiders). Because of my love for animals I made a conscious decision to become a vegetarian, specfically a lacto-ovo-vegetarian which means I will still eat dairy and eggs. Because both egg and dairy are by products of animals and the animal is not killed for the product, I am okay with this.

For thirty days, if I am successful, I will be meatless. Here is where I will tell my tale of my successes, tips, failures and everything else that goes along with this journey.  Welcome to my blog journey.

Love it, Tanya. I still eat chicken and fish but haven’t eaten or missed cow or pig in more than a decade. Eating mammals just doesn’t feel right to me. Don’t feel self conscious around your coworkers or anyone else … the world is used to vegetarians by now, and it doesn’t notice/care that much. :) I bet your coworker with the beef lunch was just jealous of your yummy looking tofu!
